Drums benefit heavily from compression and short, dense reverbs that add energy without washing out the rhythm. Plate Reverb (Vintage Room / Plate Reverb) Snare drums and percussion. Starting Preset: "Snare Plate". Key Adjustments: Decay Time: Shorten to 1.0s – 1.4s.

Drums need body, not just length. The stock "Stereo Plate" is okay, but the Dense Plate preset is superior for snare.
