This premise sets the stage for a psychological and physical conflict within a household. The wife (played by the lead actress) is trapped in a marriage where her husband is unable to fulfill his marital duties. This void in her life creates a tension that is exploited or manipulated by her father-in-law (the Sasurji of the title). The series explores the moral degradation and taboo relationships that emerge when boundaries are crossed in a closed domestic setting. The narrative asks the viewer to question whether the characters will uphold social sanskar (values) or surrender to primal urges.
: The situation escalates when a household servant also becomes entangled in the domestic affairs. The narrative reaches its peak when the wife becomes pregnant, forcing the husband to confront the truth regarding his own limitations and the actions taking place under his roof. The story revolves around a complex household dynamic involving a sexually dissatisfied wife, her impotent husband, and a "perverted" father-in-law. When the husband's inability to satisfy his wife leads to rising desires, the wife finds herself drawn into a web of lust involving both her father-in-law and the house servant. The plot focuses on whether the sanctity of family relations can survive these awakening desires or if they will succumb to lust. The narrative is filled with unexpected turns and challenges that Aashi faces as she navigates her new life. From dealing with her demanding sasur (father-in-law) to managing her relationship with her husband and his family, Aashi's journey is a rollercoaster of emotions. The show does not shy away from addressing issues like gender dynamics, personal freedom, and the often-sensitive topic of family politics, making it a relatable watch for the contemporary audience.
