If your DS-7208HGHI-F1 DVR was previously linked to a Hik-Connect account, you can reset the password directly via your smartphone. Go to the physical monitor connected to your DVR.

A hard reset via the internal jumper will erase ALL configuration data, including IP addresses, recording schedules, user accounts, and network settings. It will not erase the hard drive video footage, but the DVR will ask you to format the drive upon reboot.

Press and hold the button, then power the DVR on while continuing to hold the button for about 30–40 seconds
