The story kicks off when a client named Kimika Tani walks into Hotaru's office. Kimika is an ordinary office lady (OL) who has fallen for a devastatingly handsome male host named Akira. In Japan's "host club" industry, men are paid to pour drinks, flirt, and emotionally manipulate customers into spending exorbitant amounts of money.
